The morning of 1st February, 2012 was marked with celebration of excellence at DPS Chandigarh where the young achievers of the school were felicitated for their achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities in the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony.
Mr. Sandeep Hans, Director, Public Instructions (Schools), Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
As per the DPS tradition, the show took off with the lighting of the lamp. The highlights of the day were the orchestra, a beautiful blend of rhythmic tracks of various regions of India and a splendid rendition of ‘Skimble Shanks – The Railway Cat’ by ‘T.S. Eliot’. Bharatnatyam performed by the students of the primary school captivated the hearts of the audience leaving them spellbound.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sandeep Hans appreciated the cultural programme put up by the children. He congratulated the prize winners and encouraged them to strive harder to achieve greater success.
