The students of DPS Chandigarh commemorated Mothers’ Day to pay a tribute to mothers all over the world. It was a high spirited week as the students enthusiastically participated in various activities. Mothers’ Day celebrations organized by the Pre-Primary saw the active participation of all the mothers who had assembled here. The little children welcomed their moms with cards and handcrafted mementoes. They sang soulful songs followed by fun games and activities. All the mothers were seen enthusiastically participating in the games shedding their inhibitions thereby adding fun and vigour to the celebrations.
A special assembly was organized by the junior school which commenced with a skit highlighting the fact that mothers are milled in their never ending household work and are often taken for granted. They too need a break. The group song ‘Meri Pyaari Maa’ sung by children held the audience spell bound followed by a thunderous applause.
