Delhi Public School celebrated Children’s Day with a difference. A sports meet was organised for the children of Class Prep. The tiny tots zealously participated in various sports events such as the Sprint Race, Froggi Race, Jacket Race, Combo Race and Throw Ball. To make it more eventful the teachers also joined the tiny tots in the ‘Tug of War’. Class Parties were also organised for the students of Primary Wing. The students of the Senior Wing participated in various competitions organized on the occasion by the Chandigarh Education Department. In the Street Play competition, our school bagged the first position out of 23 participating schools of the city. The results of the other events are awaited.
The members of the Interact Club of the school celebrated the day in a unique manner. They visited the Paediatric Centre of PGIMER, Chandigarh to cheer and bring a smile on the faces of the children undergoing treatment there. The students interacted with the sick children, distributed balloons to them and decorated several wings of the centre. Dr. Suneet Senghi, HOD Paediatric Centre and his team were touched to see this gesture and appreciated the efforts of these young interactors.
