The evening of 1st October, 2010 was marked with celebration of excellence at DPS Chandigarh where the young achievers of the school were felicitated for their achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities in the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony.
Mr. Naunihal Singh, SSP, Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest accompanied by his wife Mrs. Garima Singh, Additional Commissioner, Income Tax, Sangrur.
As per the DPS tradition, the show took off with the lighting of the lamp along with the recital of shlokas. A cultural programme comprising of ‘Kitchen Orchestra’, an innovative composition, Hip-Hop dance and a Qawwali enthralled the audience. A vibrant Rajasthani folk dance was the highlight of the show.
Mr. Naunihal Singh congratulated the awardees and the students for their amazing performances. He complimented about the endless facilities offered by the school. He appreciated the efforts of the school in working towards the holistic development of the students.
