The Interact Club of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh ushered in the newly elected office bearers in an Investiture Ceremony, marked with anticipation and promise.
Mr. Arvind Mahajan, President, Rotary Club Chandigarh presided over the function as the Chief Guest. Besides many eminent Rotarians, Principals of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh and GMSSS, Sector 10, Chandigarh, were also present on the occasion.
True to Indian tradition, the programme began with a cultural presentation which included lighting of the lamp, orchestra, a rendition by the school choir and an impressive Street Play on the theme ‘Save Girl Child’. This was followed by the formal badging ceremony of the office bearers.
Mr. Arvind Mahajan congratulated the new office bearers and praised the efforts of the outgoing members for the success of previous year’s projects. He appreciated the contribution of the school in raising a sum of Rs. 1,25,000 in addition to other material help for the Leh Relief Fund. While urging everybody to believe in service and charity, he expressed his confidence in the young Interactors to put in their best efforts leaving behind a rich legacy.
