The 63rd Independence Day was celebrated with great fervor and zeal at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. The programme began with the unfurling of the ‘Tiranga’ along with rendition of our national anthem by all present.
In the message given by a student, the belief in the power of youth was reiterated. The school choir enthralled everyone with the ever-inspiring patriotic songs ‘Saare Jahan se Achha’ and ‘Sone ki Chidiya’. This was followed by a well choreographed dance on the number ‘Mere Vattan Hindustan’.
The highlight of the day was the singing of ‘Himmat se Kaam Lenge’ by the tiny tots of the Shiksha Kendra.
The celebrations concluded with refreshments for all students and staff.
