Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh celebrated Teacher’s Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special show was organized on the occasion by the students of the senior wing with the Student Council playing an active role in it.
The programme began with a welcome speech by the Headgirl followed by a rocking performance by the school band, ‘Impulse’. There were enthralling dance performances by the students and ‘Masti Ki Pathshala’, a medley which depicted various classroom scenes. The teachers also joined in the celebrations with choir singing and a dance on peppy numbers.
The highlight of the day was a stand-up comedy show by Apoorv Pandey and Anjit Aulakh, both students of class XI. They added a zing to the celebrations.
A vote of thanks was proposed by the President of Student Council. The celebrations concluded with the National Anthem. Later, the teachers enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at Taj Hotel organized by the school.
