Delhi Public School, Chandigarh successfully conducted an awareness campaign regarding safe driving by school buses on 3rd August, 2009. The event was organized in collaboration with Arrive-Safe – a local NGO and fully supported by Chandigarh Traffic Police.
This awareness drive emphasized the need of installing speed governors in the buses besides following other guidelines for the safety of the students.
The festival of Raksha Bandhan being round the corner, the tiny tots of the school tied Rakhis to the bus drivers and conductors and urged them to ensure their safety as a Rakhi Gift.
